      Such open attacks were suicidal in ww1. They need to be closely coordinated with air, artillery, drones etc support, all tied to together with modern communications, electronic warfare etc.

      In the 21st century, with the array of weaponry and technology, it is sheer butchery.

      This is target practice.

      The video gameish of this is a but disturbing. Yes we want Ukraine to win but the weird cheering in the comments section like this is a sport is a bit disturbing. None of us would ever join a fight like this.

      They’ve perfected the tactics and weapons mix for not just stopping an assault but also for eliminating a majority of vehicles and infantry involved. Mobility kills with mines and ATGMs and drones, finish them with more drones usually, and then mop up the surviving infantry with FPVs and, now, Unmanned Aerial Machine Gun Vehicle (UAMGV).

      The amount of casualties in this war is staggering. Gotta be one of the bloodiest wars in history
