Hallo!

Im a german citizen in germany and I have zero opinions on this peanutbutter in particular. Thanks
It’s a store brand peanut butter. The supermarket chain is called Edeka 🙂
I find it alright.
I’m sorry, but in thinking you bought a “German food product”, you bought something that is considered an “American food product” over here. Peanut butter is not widely eaten by many Germans.
But you can ask us anything about different nougat cremes like Nutella!
It’s okay but it’s not a high-quality peanut butter and uses quite a few unnecessary ingredients (e.g. palm oil and sugar). So it’s really not good for you and tastes okay-ish. You can get Erdnussmus which is just peanuts (sometimes with a bit of salt) which is way way healthier and does really well in cooking/baking. I like the one by dm or koro
Just remember to stir it to evenly redistribute the oils before using. Find it helps.
It’s not crunchy so it’s inherently worse unfortunately, I’m sorry you had to suffer through inferior peanut butter.
Good, tastes like peanut butter.
Get Peanut Butter from [DM](https://www.dm.de/dmbio-erdnusscreme-crunchy-p4066447465679.html?appPageType=productdetails&appProductId=4066447465679&wt_mc=shopping.google.pla.Ernaehrung&hc_tid=10219970C4751PPC&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAl4a6BhBqEiwAqvrquu1E2L2u5tzh2HpiSJr-W_EWFHNJEvyqB9SPh8W5pOKl8ue7k5Zx6BoCH0cQAvD_BwE), it’s cheaper, is bio and is pure peanuts with no added ingredients such as palm oil.
It’s cheap and it’s just okay.
it‘s an american style product (you can see the blue stripes and stars), and I like it best spread on bread with butter below and marmalade on top
It’s creamy, so it’s not for me.
Better american nuts, than turkish or other
I’m an American in Germany. It tastes like (some brands of) American peanut butter. It happens to taste like the brands I like.
You don’t have to eat it with jam/jelly/marmalade, but American peanut butter is best eaten on sliced sandwich bread. It can also go on a flatbread made out of white flour (preferably), though that’s less common.
I live near the border with the Netherlands and prefer to get the Dutch peanut butter (Pindakaas).
Gut und günstig.. steht doch drauf!
I prefer the crunchy versions, but I love peanut butter in general!
It’s great for making peanut sauce. That’s the only thing I ever use it for, so I don’t know anything beyond that.
Get the bio one from rapunzel
Side quest(ion): While Germany is not big on peanut butter, the Netherlands are, with their pindakaas. What do Dutch people think about the American stuff, and the Americans about the Dutch products?
Eating it pure is my guilty pleasure.
it´s nuts
I eat dat shit daily. – American
lecker
as an american who was raised on peanut butter, getting this here in germany, it’s serviceable. there’s not really much difference you can get out of peanut butter without adding anything. It tastes just fine to me!
Please please try Calvé from the Netherlands or Skippy peanut butter from the US!!
There is quite some difference in price but with peanut butter opting for the more expensive brands to me is more than worth it. I’m biased tho cause I love PB and eat it daily.
In terms of opinions, peanut butter is generally marketed as an American thing in Germany (hence all the flags on various products). In the Netherlands e.g. peanut butter, or Pindakaas in Dutch, is very much part of the national culture and their peanut butter is very runny and quite oily compared to German or American peanut butter and has little crumbs in them.
I wouldn’t say peanut butter is a thing in Germany tho.
Insider tip:
Try peanut butter with preferably white bread, a small touch of salted butter, and strawberry vanilla jam from Schwartau!!! It’s HEAVENLY. If you wanna go all out on the sweetness also but marshmallow fluff spread on it which you can usually get in the same aisle at the grocery store. 🙂
Watch out tho it might be dangerous for some because it’s an absolute calorie (and sugar) bomb and tastes delicious imo hahaha
It’s ok, but i prefer dutch peanut spreads (forgot the name but it’s a 15/10)
Cheap and toxic
well, it’s peas are nuts *badum tss*
Seriously, though, It’s ok. they all taste the same to me.
I can tell you it’s got Creme
Wheres the crunch
Too oily in my opinion
