Sounds like a circlejerk at this point.
Anime games: where all of the pretend standards of quality and criticism of monetization magically evaporate into the wind because kamehamefapfapfapfapfap.
As someone who has never been into the *Final Fantasy* series, I have two questions:
* If it was truly *final*, shouldn’t there be only one? /s
* In all seriousness, someone please explain how there have been multiple versions of the same numbered game, while still having higher numbers. Does each number tell a specific part of the story?

FF14 couldn’t even get a crossover event with FF16 until almost a full year after FF16 came out, and that’s the same damn development team. Square-Enix is godawful at planning and executing on cross promotional content.
They will do anything except a remake faithful to the original. Just give us FFVI HD-2D and take our money.
If it’s still just an idea, there’s no way it’s releasing sooner than 5 years from now
