      These people are fixated on the dumbest stuff. Nobody is making anyone use pronouns. Transgender people exist, maybe they don’t like it but why dehumanize them. They act like it’s some disease that is passed on. Nobody is stopping her from saying the R word. Trump saying he loves the poorly educated is the truest thing he has ever said.

      Ok, use the word allow it into schools. So, when your teacher tells your child it’s a sin to lie, cheat adultery, drink, name calling, tell children with same sex parents, etc.And that child comes back and tells the class mommy or daddy did this. . They want parents to have more control. Yet they want teachers to teach children the 3Rs, social skills, listen to their woes, wipe their noses, tie their shoes and teach them how to believe. Letting a teacher teach religion is a slippery slope. Take your own child to church.

      I am the father of an adult with cognitive delay and my son runs a program that provides services to people with these types of disabilities. I’m deeply embedded in this community. I have had this discussion with numerous people over the years on how offensive the word can be when throw around thoughtlessly. That being said, I feel that if she wants to use the word “retard” to describe herself, she should have every right to do that. Because when I hear her speak, I think, what a fucking……
