  1. As someone who makes a point to not pay attention to Florida….how bad is this pick?

  2. JustAnotherDude87 on

So an election denier…better than someone who assaults women unless it comes out…don’t even want to go there.

  3. PaleBlueDave on

Is Pam Bondi the woman that had an investigation into the Trump foundation or university but dropped the case after receiving a large donation from Trump’s charity?

  4. OkayComputer1701 on

You hear that? It’s the sound of Ken Paxton’s heart breaking.

  5. AdrianInLimbo on

Well, other than the constitution, I don’t think she’s r@ped anything or anyone yet, so she’s already better than Gaetz in that department

  6. charcoalist on

One might get the impression that trump is trying to sabotage the Department of Justice from within.

  7. Youvebeeneloned on

Oh look the DA he paid off to make the Trump University shit go away

So she’s obviously a bad person, and in an ideal world she would never get confirmed, but this is actually kind of a good sign for one simple reason: he’s pivoting away from the retribution stuff. He’s picking somebody who understands how an AG office is structured and why it’s necessary to have. She’s less blindly destructive than somebody like Gaetz, and as such there’s a.much larger chance that we’re going to get through this with an intact DOJ.

She’s still going to do an incredible amount of harm, but I can see a way in which the situation is at least somewhat salvageable.

  9. We all have friends and family that voted for this. Never let them forget.

A Trump pick was always going to be a Trump pick.

Matt Gaetz was just a bridge too far.

  11. Another scandal-ridden Trumper. He’s going to run out of picks before his term even begins. What a loser.

  12. SectorBudget406 on

Just so there’s no misunderstanding, this is someone Trump has personally ‘legal’ bribed to make legal decisions beneficial to him.

One clown fall outs the clown car… Another picked up. Poor Marge… She thought she’d get a better position. 🤣

I guess tomorrow we’ll find out about her sexual assault history

  15. alwaystired707 on

As messed up as everything is, it’s kind of fun watching the wheels fall off the bus every day.

  16. hellolovely1 on

She’s a terrible person, so I don’t feel bad saying I jumped at this picture and thought of these lines from Clueless:

    “What’s a Monet?”
“It’s like a painting, see? From far away, it’s OK, but up close, it’s a big old mess.”

  17. She has AG experience… granted she was very much an Anti-ACA (sorry Obama care for all the republican lurkers who needs to know the alt name), anti Clinton kinda person…

  18. Consistent_Case_5048 on

Looking forward to seeing who the third pick is going to be.

could you imagine being chosen AFTER a teenage sexual predator?

tRump’s supporters are in many ways the people Simon & Garfunkel* described in their song “The Boxer”.

‘Still, a man hears what he wants to hear, and disregards the rest’

*Edited to address Garfunkel’s name. I accept no responsibility for inattention to detail, autocorrect, old age eyesight, laziness or, for that matter, anything else.

I thought thought for a sec that was MTG I nearly had a heart attack

  22. She led the Florida lawsuit against the part of the Affordable Care Act that stopped insurance companies from charging people with preexisting conditions higher premiums. Basically she’s just another pile of shit. You can read about that [here.](https://web.archive.org/web/20180619000223/http://www.tampabay.com/florida-politics/buzz/2018/06/13/pre-existing-conditions-latest-flashpoint-in-nelson-scott-battle/) If you think this language is harsh, as other commenters think, I encourage you to consider that before this rule, people with cancer were frequently denied coverage or priced out of the ability to afford it, and people with autoimmune conditions were left to die. You can read about that [here.](https://www.kff.org/affordable-care-act/slide/how-health-insurers-responded-to-applicants-with-pre-existing-conditions-before-and-after-the-affordable-care-act/) TL;DR: republicans want to bring back death panels.

  23. There is zero chance she isn’t easily confirmed. It could have (and almost was) much worse.

  24. maninthewoodsdude on

He’s previously bribed her with pac campaign donations, a low 25k, to drop charges against him.

She’s at worst a loyalist, at best a stooge, who can be bought for very modest campaign contributions.

A total yes woman who will rubber stamp every illegal thing he plans to do, and she will probably go out of her way to hide illegal shit his admin does.

  25. At this point I won’t be surprised if Bin Laden is alive and is picked to head anti-terrorism task force, as Trump views him a strong, great leader.

    > “Picking Pam Bondi for Attorney General is a grand slam, touchdown, hole in one, ace, hat trick, slam dunk, Olympic gold medal pick,” Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said on X.

    Lol alright grandpa calm down.

  27. Blonde bimbo with big tits. An Ivanka look-alike. Just like he likes.

Someone I trust knows Pam Bondi; I can confidently say that Pam Bondi is an idiot.

  29. Reasonable-Hippo-293 on

Most of his pick were the creators and writers of Project 2025.
She may have had something to do with it.
He is rewarding all who contributed to the Project 2025 agenda. His picks are extreme because the agenda is extreme.

  30. the-quest-for-truth on

Why do I feel like the Gaetz as the AG pick was just a distraction.

  31. Arlochorim on

It may just be a left leaning outsiders perspective, but i swear every republican that is brought up for any reason related to trump is a terrible person.

Hell i was against romney being pres when he ran against obama, but in comparison to everyone else from the republican party I’ve seen of late he seems to be a model president because the worst i can say is I dont share his views, and he has the bare minimum of not removing bodily autonomy, overthrowing democracy or assaulting minors.

  32. SpellingIsAhful on

I dunno who that is but based on her picture Im 100% sure she’s a fox news anchor

  33. GhostofAyabe on

    Wiki:

“In 2019, after her final term as Florida attorney general, Bondi was hired by Ballard Partners, a firm with close ties to Trump, and she began working as a registered foreign agent for the Government of Qatar”

    LOL
