    As much as people shit on Singh, he’s arguably the best leader in the House of Commons at getting what he wants done and holding Trudeau accountable. It might not reflect in the polls, but it’s true.

    Singh’s position here is a good one. He’s saying he’ll support the things he likes, but won’t offer the LPC a free pass when it comes to being in contempt of Parliament in exchange.

    Helping the government wiggle out of their contempt of Parliament does not benefit Canadians or NDP; especially when the issue at hand is blatant corruption.

    What needs to happen is the government needs to do what the House and Speaker are saying they need to do. If they don’t want to, do what they did last time with the Winnipeg Lab docs and call an election.

    I’ll note that the government, despite trying everything including calling an election, STILL eventually handed over the required documents.
