I would really like to see some more studies on this. Sounds too good to be true, but there are many instances in medicine, historically, that demonstrate that natural remedies can be very effective.

Suan Zao Ren is representative herb for nourishing Heart Blood to Calm the Spirit, main indication is insomnia. In TCM theory, the Heart and the Mind are the same.
The dates themselves are great too, in a lot of herbal formulas, with ginger and licorice, for their combined effect of benefitting the Stomach.
While this is excellent news for many, herbs work better in combos, not singularly.
The effects of SZR on brain health would likely improve if combined with blood Moving and phlegm dissolving herbs, but this is just my humble professional opinion.
