      Ceding territory isn’t a peace, it’s just a ceasefire until Russia is ready for another round

      It’s ok they can have Austria, but they better not invade Belgium.

      I think functionally it’s Russia rejecting this. a peace for land deal means nothing without obligations for signatories to go to war to defend that peace for what ever remains of Ukraine. Ukraine isn’t considering it because it isn’t a serious offer, it’s a capitulation with a guarantee of a future invasion.

      Ukraine already did a nukes for peace deal with Russia in 1994, I don’t think they’re gonna fall for that again

      You take this deal and you’re dead, it’s that simple.
