      Who the USA chooses to be their president is not our concern. They are free to make their own democratic choices. We should do our best to work constructively with the leaders of other countries in a neutral, balanced, constructive manner, and continue to take a long-term approach in international relations.

      This thread is exactly what I expected. Yeah guys, Switzerland is not on Earth, we’re on a totally different planet than everyone else and nothing that’s decided in any other country anywhere ever has any kind of impact on us. Particularly because we famously also have tons of our own natural resources and are completely self-sustaining. After all, we made it through all of WW2 without any involvement in anything because grandma planted potatoes in her backyard.

      The way people have conveniently ignored “the potential worsening of climate change” shows how many people live in their own little bubbles and believe Switzerland to be invincible.

      The floods in Spain were an indirect(though it was not the only reason) consequence of climate change. Switzerland isn’t independent when it comes to food production either. And no planting the potatoes at the Federal Palace won’t help much. When these force majeures happen, there will be blood.
