  1. Important to note that the populations of Western countries are only going to get to those levels because of migration.

Hmm, most estimates show birth rates declining to below the replacement level in the developed world. Where did you find this?

  3. Aid to Africa was a big mistake. Noble cause, but it will bring more deaths because of unsustainable population.

Oh once again Antarctica gets ignored.

    Typical of the six-continentalist mentality.

Is this accounting for declining birth rates in all these countries?

  6. Considering how climate change is going, I’d say it’s closer to 0. This map is bad.

  7. Its funny how more than half of the millions of people living in Europe (or at least those of western Europe) Will be composed of Arabs , Indians and Blacks….

The declining birth rates of europeans + illegal inmigration + inmigrants having 5 kids per family = the replacement of ethnic europeans in their own continent maybe with the exception of Poland.

I really don’t see how Australia could triple its population in 75 years.

Oceanic population doubles once New Zealand moved, taking advantage of Indian Ocean Gulf Stream

My country is barely 18 millions or 19 of people and I feel we are too many and something should be done , I can’t imagine living in those place with soo many humans

Y’all see why a certain demographic is acting up right now…

  12. Jonny_Sauce on

That’s not going to happen. Disease, famine and the effects of climate change will set a population limit that’s not much higher than what we have now.

  13. BTW, the projection by the UN and almost all sociologists is that by 2080s the entire world – all countries – will achieve demographic stagnation or slight decrease. The world population will stop growing, and will remain around 10-11b indefinitely (with maybe slight decrease that will reduce it to 9-8b in not-so-near future). Look up “demographic transition” for more info.

  14. Is south America the most sparsely populated continent if you only include habitable land?

  15. KingMelray on

With how fast birthrates are falling I think this is an overestimate. There won’t be enough mothers born in thr 2050-2070s to have this many kids.

I can’t imagine the United States population more than doubling by 2100. All the public lands out west will be inhabited and people will be living on top of each other in multi-story condos and apartments.

So if we combine the populations of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th most populated continents they do not even have half of the population of the 2nd most populated continent. Wow

Man Don’t anticipate events, you don’t know if you will live tomorrow or not.

Europe will need the strongest borders possible to have a future.

  20. Interesting, I never knew that the coastlines were going to become straight and angular in 2100

  21. jeremiah-flintwinch on

Africa doesn’t distribute enough calories to feed its current population and it’s questionable that development could keep up so that this population would survive. I suspect these are just linearized projections that don’t incorporate demographic collapse outside of europe

  22. It seems that we’ll see some of the most significant environmental impact in Asia.

  23. LegacyoftheDotA on

If its not down to a few 10s or 100 millions due to an ecological disaster or man made disaster, then sure. 🥲

  24. What a weird way to split up the world… The eurasia border is subjective so you may as well have drawn spaces of equal population now to see how much theyre projected to change.
