>The Heretic actor, 64, appeared on the Monday Nov. 18 episode of the Smartless podcast and was asked about how many kids he has. “Well, we think it’s five,” Grant jokingly answered.
>”But I had them much too old in life you know, I started when I was 52,” he continued. “Now I’m 64, you know, and the youngest is 6, and I need a long stint in a sanatorium or an abbey.”
>Grant added that he often looks at the abbey where Maria from The Sound of Music lived, joking, “Wish I lived there.”
>The actor is dad to five kids — daughters Blue, 5, and Lulu, 8, and son John Mungo, 12, whom he shares with wife Anna Eberstein, and daughter Tabitha Xiao Xi, 13, and son Felix Chang Hong, 11, who he shares with Tinglan Hong.
He’s been doing the podcast circuit and is funny. His tude jibes with stories of being a crank, but a charming one.
I will never, ever understand how he stepped out on Elizabeth Hurley the way he did.
What’s up with all the Hugh Grant hot takes lately
Hugh Grant is and will always be a twat.
I hate when people suggest to people to have kids later in life if they are still working on themselves or want a partner or their finances or to get their career settled as if it’s no obstacle or possible issue to arise later.
Even if you have the time and money/wealth, there’s still going to be limitations in being a parent.
Sounds like he’s involved
I listened to this interview and really enjoyed it. It was a refreshing change from the usual tone of this podcast where everyone is just fawning over everyone else. They tried but he was just grumpy. Funny grumpy. But grumpy. It felt more real that the usual with them. Interesting that they said they felt like they didn’t know him. He just wouldn’t play their game.
Are there any Sanatoriums around these days? I sure could use a stint.
