Can we go on the offensive with more than three employees working at a time? Maybe periodic checks to see if anyone is on their phone so I don’t have to be the one that yells at this asshole?

I don’t see how increasing spend on things that ultimately don’t matter (more seats, more leg room, etc) of going to matter in the long run.

Can we instead lower the cost of concessions and hire more staff?

Also the quality of movies has just dropped enough to make me always ask the question “is this something I want to go to the theaters for?”.

  3. It’s not a lack of amenities, it’s that the cost of going is astronomical for what you get. Going to the movies was a weekend escape. I’d go every weekend with my grandpa, we’d sit wherever we wanted, we’d get candy and popcorn. We could afford to do this regularly. Going now is an event that sets me back and I can only go once every few months for the cost.

  4. It’s not AMC: it’s the lack of content that *needs* to be seen (imo)

Oppenheimer was amazing because it was made to be seen with incredible surround sound in a screen the size of a building

Barbie was a cultural event that people wanted to participate in

Gladiator and Wicked will likely be similar, but red one, venom or smile 2? I see little “value” in paying $20 a ticket to go see that I’ll wait

I would be more interested if they left the theaters the way they are but offered showings with strict no phone policies.

I know they gouge the hell out of you for it but booking your seats before hand, as well as reclining seats brought me back. I hated that moment you turned corner and paused to look around for seating.

The last movie I saw in Theaters was Top Gun: Maverick. Even then, I skipped the AMC in my town and went to another theater in another town.

    Our town’s AMC sucks.

    1. They don’t take cash.
    2. They have no one to sell you tickets.
    3. Dirty AS FUCK.
    4. Toliets busted, chairs busted, speakers suck.
    5. 30 minutes of ads.

Cost me about $50 to take my kid to a movie all-in if you include parking and such. We ain’t do it often. Make it all cheaper.

I’m shocked they haven’t gone with sports. I’m an Oklahoma fan in Dallas. We’re in the minority but there’s A LOT of us. Pick a niche like that and they can fill countless theaters for watch parties

Go on the offensive! Great! I’ll just…

Oh wait. AMC abandoned all their leases literally everywhere I could possibly go and got replaced by local theaters that charge 1/4 the ticket price.

    Oh well.

Maybe everything is too expensive. No, we just need bigger screens that will fix everything.

Yeah. Don’t forget to charge patrons 3x as much as before with all your new upgrades because, you know, capitalism.
