I wonder what would be the (real) percentage in Germany and Austria.

Why do armenians hate jews? Because of Azerbaijan-Israel relations maybe?

Pretty striking how the nation on this map, invaded under the pretext of being Nazi, has the lowest percentage of anti-semites, and a Jewish president to boot.

Honestly, most of these aren’t nearly as bad as I would have guessed.

Kazakhstan would’ve been around 99% if the survey was done before the 2006 Borat Expedition. After the acceptance of Christianity (many years after acknowledging its presence) after the expedition to the US, antisemitism is around 1%.

Ukraine is a bit surprising to me, is there a reason why it has the lowest antisemitism in Eastern Europe?
Easy-Ant-3823 on
In Lithuania and Romania, it’s because of associating Jews with Bolshevism and the Soviet Union.

Does Ukraine have the highest population of Jews in Eastern Europe?

Keep in mind that these are the people who admit it.
Also keep in mind that Lithuania and Romania had some of the most enthusiastic Nazi collaborators.

Jesus Christ. We don’t care. Quit with the constant self-victimization. How much of this percentage is of people not wanting to be neighbours of genocide enthusiasts.

Wrong. Czechs are avid Israel fans and there are Jewish monuments and memorials taken care of well everywhere. The real % would be much lower. Almost nobody dislikes the jews except some fringe neonazis and far right weirdos

The Georgian Bagrationi dynasty (deposed by Russians in the early 19th century) claimed to be descended from David. Probably one of the reasons antisemitism is low

I’m Ukrainian (Eastern Ukraine, to be exact), and from what I’ve seen, the antisemitism is strong in older generation, courtesy of the heavy USSR propaganda. Some may not be outright nazi level a antisemite, but it’s not uncommon to hear a person 40+ years to use jewish slurs and believe in offensive stereotypes about jewish people.
Younger folks are a hit or miss, depending on how they were raised, but most of the time, the younger generation is more progressive and accepting.

Would the numbers be that different if the question was ‘accept a foreigner as a citizen of your country’ rather than ‘accept a Jewish person […]”?
