Yeah, we would hate for there to be any politics going on in parliament

  2. Was this the same one that refused to denounce the Hamas attack?

    Hard to keep track.

but yeah focus on her little pin… great job Canada

This is silly. It would be one thing if it was some over the top display like a keffiyeh. A pin? Cmon.

We wouldn’t want to be on the right side of history for the first time would we?

  6. It’s a nice pin but the job is to be pro-Canada so the pin doesn’t fit. Surprisingly tasteful outfit though, which is rare for an MP, most of these women need to either get a personal shopper or lean very hard into less is more/simple/professional.

  7. Oh look, it’s our totally not biased speaker once again hypocritically standing up for his party because he’s an utter failure. This LPC would have 0 standards if it didn’t have double standards.

Give her a medal for being one of the few people in Parliament with a conscience

    I don’t understand that.

This is Canada, our MP’s should be supporting Canada.

They can vote on how Canada shows its support internationally but to wave a flag or wearing a pin of another country just feels very conflict of interest with regards to an MP.

They serve this country, not others. Imagine if PP started wearing an American flag on his back in the HOC. Pretty sure that would spark a big argument.

In my opinion, which may be unpopular, this is overblown.

I am sick of politicians trying to score political points about what happens with Hamas and Israel, but why would this pin be problematic over the others MPs wear?

But Ukrainian flag pins are OK? (Asked by a Canadian of Ukrainian heritage who fully supports the Ukrainian people…)

I like watermelon as much as the next person but I dont feel the need to wear clothing littered with fruit symbolism. And what about cantaloupe, honeydew, and pumpkin? Who is left to represent these repressed, persecuted, and unpopular melons?

  13. Considering 75% of Palestinians supported Hamas attacks on Oct 7th makes sense to me.

How many of them did we open the door for that Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan wouldn’t take – 4000.

I can’t wait to see how the Zionists on this sub reasonably react to this 🍿

NDP will never get my vote. They don’t represent Canadian values anymore…

They could just release the hostages and bombs would cease.

Civilians could uproot their government, no?
