      A House Ethics Committee report on attorney general nominee Matt Gaetz is being made available to more members of Congress as pressure mounts to publicly release the document ahead of Senate confirmation hearings, according to a media report.

      Last week, Gaetz was nominated by President-elect Donald Trump for the Cabinet position. The Florida Republican almost immediately resigned from Congress following his nomination, at least temporarily blocking the release of the report, which concerns allegations of sexual abuse and illicit drug use, days before it was set to go public.

      “Ethics” are a pseudoscience. What we should really be concerned about is him being the Attorney General who will allow the first trans congresswoman being banned from the ladies bathroom.

      Matt Gaetz qualifications to become AG are the same as his preferences in girls, which is to say, very very minor

      Gaetz is credibly accused of trafficking, drugging and raping children and the debate is whether he gets to be AG or not? No mention, not even a hint of him being arrested. America sucks so bad.

      The ethics report is not really what matters, it’s his flagrant partisanship and flouting of the rule of law that disqualifies him as an AG candidate.

      Mississippian here. I hate Michael Guest because he’s the definition of a crass opportunist, but it is interesting that he and Bennie Thompson, our District 3 and District 2 reps respectively, have played such outsized roles in national dialogue over the past 4 years.

      If they release the house ethics report they should also release the DOJ report that resulted in no charges, right? I mean why not have all the information available to us on this issue?

      Remember when it took all of 10 seconds for Devin Nunes to leak Jim Comey’s letter about Hillary in 2016? Dems shouldn’t hesitate one second to release this report.
