Look, everyone with a brain KNOWS that the US and the UK were trying to preserve Israel and prevent WW3 – which looks CRAZY but they knew with Kamala as president they could end all of these conflicts with NO PROBLEMS.

And here we are. Americans are racists and they hate women. Apparently women trying to preserve their rights – in the media eyes – should NOT somehow be something people should campaign on.

Okay, so here we are. Now Putin is mad because he is going to suffer greatly for fucking with Americans elections, and the US and UK will now how to figure out how to stop trump from just allowing Netanyahu from killing the rest of the Palestinians. Which is still happening by the way.

Saving Ukraine would have shut Russia down, China would have backed out of Taiwan, and North Korea would have shut up. Iran has no budget to speak of so we don’t care about that or them.

Smart decision, BAE is a key part of the F35 supply chain and we would be shooting ourselves in the foot by putting an embargo on Israel.

Fat load of good that will do when Trump is inaugerated. Grow a spine, Labour.

An entirely logical and solid move.

F-35 gets assembled in the US, we wouldn’t be able to control whether parts we ship to the US end up in Israeli are frames or not. If we went for a total ban we’d have an entire fleet of F-35 grounded indefinitely lacking spares if the US decided as much, and we’d show ourselves as an unreliable partner to everyone else in the program *and* that could have knock affects for the likes of AUKUS.

Regardless of your opinions on Israel-Gaza, we wouldn’t gain anything and we would lose *alot* on a total F-35 ban.

Between 2015-2019, the UK makes up only about 4% of total arms supply to Israel, and that includes things like food testing chemical for civilians. We’ve since pulled back support, so that percentage is probably even lower now. If we withdrew what was left, the US would make up the difference with the equivalent of coins down the back of the sofa.

It also includes indirect supplies like parts for the F35, which go into a global pool. We’ve already banned direct export of these to Israel, but banning indirect exports would just harm ourselves and our allies and undermine our trustworthiness as a partner. 

I’m sometimes in favour of more symbolic moves to force change, but a full arms embargo in this case seems like shooting yourself in the foot in the hope that a drop of blood splashes on someone else, but it probably won’t.
