>Netflix may have gotten 60 million households to watch their fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, but they did not reveal how many of those households were cursing the streaming service in frustration as they endured buffering issues while trying to watch the heavily promoted clash.
>Howard Stern is warning the streamer to get their act together before they attempt to stream two marquee NFL games on Christmas Day.
>“People are pissed,” he told his Sirius XM listeners Monday. “You fuck people’s football, there is hell to pay. You better not. I don’t know how this stuff works, but you’ve got to make sure it works.”
Oh what’s he going to do rant about them over the radio? Does he even still have a radio show?
What a completely dumb headline. He didn’t “warn” them as it came with consequences from him. He just said you fucked up and you’ll get even more shit if you fuck up the NFL.
Had no idea this guy was still a thing.
3 times the normal traffic, so of course there are issues.
Hopefully this was the beta trial for Netflix because the load on Christmas Day will be equal if not greater. NFL WILL notice if the customer base complains the product looks subpar. And they will be wary about doing anything further unless Netflix can guarantee they can handle the load.
I had some minor issues but overall it was fine
People who bitch about this are soooooo freaking privileged.
Reminds me of the Louis CK bit about wifi on airplanes and how he was one of the first flights to offer it. Within 5 minutes the system crashed and everyone freaked out. You didn’t even know the thing existed before and now you’re crying that it has tech issues?
Anyone watching TNF on Prime knows they can’t even get a clean stream often and they freaking host the servers for Netflix lmao.
If you actually read what Howard is saying (*unlike the person who wrote this headline*) he’s 100% right
the connection was one of the biggest complaints about the fight, and boxing is big as it is, but football is three times the juggernaut boxing is (when it comes to viewership) so these problems have the potential to become more than just a couple of memes and a little frustration, one bad game could sully the entire perception of NFL on Netflix
