What exactly do the raised areas/ shadows of the yellows states represent here?

I’ll genuinely never understood why people don’t vote. It always matters

Surprised most eligible voters in swing states like Nevada and Arizona didn’t vote. So even when their vote mattered more than others, the majority decided voting still wasn’t worth it. That speaks volumes.

More reason to abolish the electoral college and make every vote count.

New England really is just built different. MA and VT especially. Impressive turnout despite the fact that they’re such a sure thing for the Democrats that individual votes are all but meaningless in the Electoral College.

This just proved that most people hated both candidates and we haven’t had a good one since the Obama admin.

I’m conservative and even I thought Obama was good compared to the choices we had.

I realize I am in the minority here but I don’t think everyone should vote. People who don’t follow politics all that much and half heartedly vote for someone almost like they are taking a test and hope they have the right answers shouldn’t vote.

These are the people who are usually swayed by superficial things or might incentivize politicians to lie because they won’t catch it because they aren’t really following things.

Itd be interesting to see. If ‘no vote’ removed electoral college candidates…

A failure to vote is, itself, a choice. It ensure the only people who get to affect politics are those willing to make the effort to register and vote.

Exactly the map I wanted to see. America defeats America!

That’s why the land vote is fucking weird. People tend to vote when they think your vote matter. If the state is gonna get blue, why would some “red person” would vote if the measure would be ‘the winner takes it all’? No matter if it’ll be a lot of red votes, all the votes will just count as blue!

Maybe country on autopilot should be the default vote and you have to go out to the polls to actually change anything.

  13. And it looks like the presidency goes to…*NOBODY*!
