  1. More accurately it would be grieving democratic party supporters making the switch.

  2. Ditched threads because I got tired of “does anyone else [rage inducing question]” bad-faith engagement bait.

  3. This is a narrative that’s being pushed to get more people on social media. Blue sky is spending tons on ads, etc. Trying to capitalize on Twitter fall out. If the first few ads work, it’ll snowball and won’t be a baseless claim anymore.

One of the things we need to reject from this — is social media on a worldwide scale. Maybe smaller networks of neighborhoods and towns could work.
Right now it is a weapon being wielded against us all.

I think we’re all starting to see how astroturfed reddit has become. I’m happy to stick around if they clean up the platform, I’ve been here a minute.

  4. And Blue sky is already starting to go full censorship it’s hilarious.

Strange how all of a sudden blueskies is having reports of CSAM now that it’s had a influx of left wing users flock to it.

Social media is still fairly new and platforms dividing by political views is no different than tv media. It’s all inevitable.

Part of the reason Twitter has survived this long is because journalists use it as their primary platform for communicating with their readers.

If more reporters start migrating to other platforms to get away from.. whatever it is Twitter has become in the past two years, their active user count will crater even harder than it already has.

Would be just as happy if twitter died off and was not replaced.

The only accounts I follow on twitter that haven’t switched are Friedman and the Wings, and there’s a Friedman repost bot. Very happy to leave twitter behind

Until the app gives you the ability to get post notifications from a specific user, I gotta keep my Twitter ☠️

Threads could have been a real winner here but I think it completely fumbled its initial advantage. I am curious however how many people switch to Bluesky and then switch back to X when the majority of their audience doesn’t follow along.
