Actually quite interesting, I guess it is due to the power of the Catholic Church. Which makes Italy a surprise.

I have never get why jews have been persecuted and Their religion banned, why not ban left handed people as an exampel instead? They are pretty odd and deviant.

And in retaliation for the centuries of discrimination and genocide they endured in Europe they should take land from …. the Palestinians?

  4. back then europe wasnt so open border and they werent thrilled with jews and gypsies and whoever forming enclaves around them and being different

and jews in particular would be educated and wealthy that fueled rumors about them

Crazy how the HRE was one of the most welcoming places for the Jews for centuries (of course more or less so depending on the principality) while England, France, and Spain were taking turns scapegoating and expelling them, and then over the course of 12 years the narrative reversed completely.

Today it’s like that whole history is forgotten unless you actively study it.

Muslims never persecuted Jews. They were welcomed to live under Islamic law, if they chose to do so, and had a protected status of minority groups, just like any other minority groups.
