      I don’t balme them. One of my MAGA coworkers from Ohio said she’s “not convinced the ‘illegals’ are not eating dogs and cats.”

      Ugh, they aren’t here illegally…she just stared at me open mouthed. Asfor the rest, I have only what the police have said to go on…so I guess she thinks they are lying? I just can’t with these people any more.

      People voted for failure, so failure they will get. The GOP historically is terrible for country and has plagued us without progress in the house and/or senate for decades. Voters never seem to grasp why the country isn’t getting better but we have all the voting receipts in the house/senate. The SCOTUS is also full of partisan hacks as well.

      I’m not surprised. Apparently legally immigrating, which they objectively did, won’t matter if someone blows a facebook post out of proportion in service of racist fear mongering.       The end of the article is so sad. These Haitians don’t have the right to vote but if they did they would vote for Trump. I am truly amazed how so many immigrants believe Trump is their savior, neglecting the fact it is the democrats that’s been fighting for their rights to stay and work in the country.

      I don’t blame them. That was just awful. They were used as a cheap political trick by Dump and Vance to stir up anger and they didn’t do anything wrong at all. There is no justice for what happened to them and the harassment and fear they went through.

      My hometown in Indiana had an influx of Haitians within the last 10 years. The county voted 81.4% Trump. I am sure it has emboldened the racists.

      My friends first gen Haitian friend admitted he voted for trump, we flat out told him “hopefully your parents don’t get deported”, he proceeded to be hella quiet the rest of the night, googling the policies he enabled.

      Remember what Trump said the day after he was elected, about those LEGAL migrants living in Springfield?:

      >Trump, asked if he would revoke the migrants’ Temporary Protected Status, said, “Absolutely. I’d revoke it, and I’d bring them back to their country.”

      Remember when Trump said this during an interview about deporting the wrong people?

      >“You put one wrong person onto a bus or onto an airplane, and your radical left lunatics will try and make it sound like the worst thing that’s ever happened,” he added.

      Trump doesn’t care if you’re legal or not. He simply doesn’t give a fuck.

      What a lot of Americans haven’t yet realized is how our descent into fascism pervades deeply into every aspect of our society.

      People trust each other less. People are worried that laws won’t protect them anymore. These are legal residents who have fled from a gang-riddled, violent, and desperate country. Rather than offer them a helping hand, Trump will make them his political punching bag.

      Selective enforcement of the law will be used to make examples of people. Eventually, Americans will be conditioned to obey without even having been asked to. Creativity will dwindle and depression will rule.

      When the state arbitrarily uses force for political messaging, you are no longer living in a free society.
