Ich habe am Samstag etwas aus Deutschland bestellt, daher überrascht mich diese Nachricht nicht. Es ist nur seltsam, dass die Adresse, die ich jahrelang verwendet habe, jetzt nicht mehr funktioniert. Ich muss meine Kreditkartendaten eingeben und zufällig 0,27 $ bezahlen, das ist es Da ich als Bild von einer US-Telefonnummer komme, ist die Website auch seltsam … bin ich etwa paranoid?

I received this SMS as well and deleted it without a second thought.
If you think ‘I should ask on Reddit if this is a scam’ – it is 99.9% a scam.
Ugh- I got the same message on two different occasions- I never responded

Of course this is a scam message. Or do you think Swiss Post would contact you with a foreign number or use a shady url without an official top level domain?
I don’t know if Post sends any text messages at all. But if they would, it would definitely be from a Swiss number and any link would go to a .ch (most likely post.ch) address. So clearly yes, a scam.
This is a scam, yes. There are many tell-tales here:
* the number is not Swiss,
* the number is not of the Post,
* the use of iMessage, a proprietary protocol, rather than SMS,
* the reason does not make sense (the Swiss post has your address more than your telephone number, they would never need to ask you for your address via telephone)
* the link does not go to [post.ch](http://post.ch) (while there is a [post.ch](http://post.ch) in there, the domain is actually ch-infoyc.top)
* the post would send invoices by post, duh
The scam would be that they charge more than the 0.27 CHF, and then sell your credit card info.

Yes, I got one too recently, it’s not even from a Swiss number. These lazy ass scammers 🤦
It’s totally real, obviously the Swiss Post would use a domain like “ch-infoyc.top”.
Expect to be contacted by the Swiss Police Department within a few days regarding the arrest warrant issued against you for responding to the text.
On a serious note: I’ve received several of these, and they seem to be correlated with times when I actually DO expect a package. Are they scraping APIs of courier services or is somebody tipping them off?
Yes, this is indeed a scam. I‘d rather just block the number and move on. Even my mom received this exact SMS a few days ago and knew that it was a scam to begin with, as the number is originally from Canada (I even looked that up). She blocked it as well.

1) Since when the swiss post will contact you through a US phone number.
