      Huh, this might be the first fully destoryed and in pieces Merkava ive seen in the conflict

      Damn, that thing looks like it got ripped and punched up by the the HULK. I wonder how far the turret from the body? Also, what kind of weapon did this damage?

      That’s actually the first confirmed one. From what I’ve read the tank went on an IED bomb with an unexploded rocket attached to it. No tank could survive that. The driver survived with minimal neck injuries and the rest of the crew died. Maybe there would be more about this on r/tanks

      ps the protection on the driver side is scary

      A Merkava MK IV driver wrote on X:
      First confirmed Merkava MK4 loss I’ve seen since the invasion of G&ZA. This Merkava happens to be the brand new variant, the MK4 Barak. It was hit by a super massive IED & only the driver survived. There comes a point where no tank can survive a certain amount of explosives. That’s how tanks leave G&ZA.

      Now I want to see the interior layout and how well the driver is protected because this is crazy.
