  1. A special place in hell for people like that.

At the same time, there needs to be better education about fraud and how to avoid becoming a victim.

This makes my blood boil. 86 years old. It’s shocking how much money the elderly need as they grow old. My parents are that age, hearing aids, special beds, and medications. The expenses really pile up. Where are Japan’s vigilantes?

Not to make this about Gaijin, but it was most likely Japanese. All too often, some Japanese person would blame foreigners for all of Japan’s crime, and they would say it right in front of me, but not me, because I was white and the exception, or “one of the good ones.”

I hope I never need a special bed. I sleep on the floor now and it’s a chore to get up from but it must be good exercise right?

The elders here have so much savings and thats just cash sitting in a vault or bank. It doesn’t create money for them which I think is a waste.

Well, everybody is going to age. Not sure how many of you or if you have your parents here, will be over 80 years old living in Japan.

There’s plenty of warning at banks and at ATM abound frauds but people still get swindled out.

I haven’t heard a news about gaijin being swindled but it’s probably going to happen. When you receive a phone call or if your parents receive a phone call asking for money, don’t hesitate and phone the police.

OMG we were targets as well. Poor lady. It’s quite sophisticated. I hope they break this ring quickly.
