  1. Rip Net Neutrality. This will only get worse or make these services much more expensive after the election as well.

The biggest issue is so many people wanting to see a staged fight between a douche scammer and a rapist

  3. If Netflix buckled for a fake boxing match, how do they think they’ll survive hosting WWE in 2025?

I tried using my netflix account and it wouldn’t work. Just kept buffering. I went to pirate stream website and it worked perfectly. What a joke.

Bro, Netflix audio gets fucked up after playing an ad. How the fuck can they even try to do a live streaming if they can’t pull something off that YouTube has been doing for years

Even 20 years ago live events were challenging! I worked on the MTV video game awards when it was one of the first events to be streamed live.

  7. I just kept picturing the guys at Pied Piper losing their minds trying to get the stream back up

Yeah no shit. But what would you expect from a company that doesn’t care.

Netflix is the boyfriend that treats you like shit but you still pay for dinner and the bar tab because 4/10 times the dick is good.

    Fuck Netflix.

Not only was the streaming quality shit, but I couldn’t watch any show at decent quality. Netflix price increase coming soon.

Shocking that mass layoffs didn’t improve Netflix’s technical capabilities

  11. i think using influencers to make shows on different channels is the main issue

  12. Thank goodness they have one of the longest running weekly live shows coming to Netflix in January (at least in the US).

The “fight” was always going to be a joke. Anyone who thought that was a legitimate pro boxing match is delusional.

I do hope Netflix learns from their mistake before Steelers/Chiefs though.

A struggled would’ve have been noticing a dip in quality here and there. Last night was not that. Throughout the entire event, every fight I experienced buffering lasting 1-2 minutes. Picture quality resembling a GIF that has been shared and compressed 50 times. The feed completely froze 3 or 4 times and had to restart the stream.

It was a mess. I mean, ultimately I can’t REALLY complain because it was “free” but not a great look for their live streaming capability. Before agreeing to host/broadcast these live events, Netflix has to know whether or not they are capable of handling the kind of traffic they themselves hope to draw.

  15. Netflix’s live stream gave me way more of a fight than I got from the watching Paul vs Tyson bout.

  16. WhoEvenIsPoggers on

The quality went up for me during the women’s fight which is great since it was by far the best fight of the night

  17. It was so bad. I kept going back to the home screen and re-entering the stream and that showed me 10 more seconds every time. I gave up at the end and watched the final two rounds on CTESPN.

They’re airing Steelers / Chiefs on Christmas day, I hope the NFL was paying attention.

  19. TippsAttack on

Oh wait, this isn’t their first live streamed event? For some reason I thought it was.

meanwhile joe rogan’s glorious “comedy” special streamed perfectly

  21. Was there any difference in quality/results depending on a person’s Netflix membership tier? I know Premium tier gets 4K streams – wonder if those viewers fared any better.

  22. Seems they didn’t learn anything from the love is blind live reunion fiasco

  23. arizonajill on

Right. That’s an understatement. Jake Paul has played everyone for fools. F that guy.

  24. The NFL must be happy that this event happened before the Christmas Day games that are getting streamed. Netflix has a little over a month to get it addressed.

  25. Westlakesam on

Jake Paul struggles with anyone in his weight class and age and Netflix struggles with live streaming. Only one of these is likely to change.

  26. DramaticIsopod4741 on

All they have to do is invest in it more like proper tv channels…ya know, the thing that stream was supposed to not be like.

Hulu / Disney laughing and now has great Q1 pitch .

    We’re actually live .
