  1. My first thought was: That would be a great pic on a board for a custom board game.

So even back in 72 they were pitching nuclear energy as a bad thing. This is before Three Mile and Cherenobyl so I’m curious what influenced the perception.

Interesting that they would have Chicago as part of a mega city with Detroit and Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee with the Twin Cities.

In real life, Chicago and Milwaukee are only 90 miles apart on the same lakeshore, and their suburbs started to overlap in the 2000s.

Id be fine if Canadian Geese were gone. They’re mean and messy.

Funny. Even in their vision of a dystopia they had better space travel planned. We really dropped the ball on that.

I have to admit, no Canada geese would go a ways towards evening things out…

Ironic they thought U.S. cities would become megalopolis huge urban areas like Tokyo. Many U.S. cities like Detroit, Philadelphia or St. Louis have smaller populations now than in 1972.

It’s worth pointing out how big of a fear overpopulation was at that exact point in time.

My favorite part is how they straight up just called New Orleans “loserville lmao.
