2. Stand by while Hezbollah fires rockets at Israeli civilians and plans an invasion of Israel and mass murder.

It’s embarrassing enough that they failed for years to prevent those fanatics from attacking Israel from the ‘demilitarized’ zone, and now they’re even trying to hinder Israel from defending itself. The UN has always been a waste of money and most of its combatants are incredibly useless. They have never done any good and have stood by while Hezbollah does its thing against Israel. Nothing but grandstanding

Weird the UN is even keeping them in positions there at this point. Basically setting them up to get bombed by one side or the other. The mandate failed. Israel is going to do want any state would do in the face of rocket attacks and Hezbollah is going to fight them because they want to keep shooting rockets and fighting Israel.
UN troops are useless there and the UN should just concede at this point because it’s just a sham. Neither party in any of this is supporting the mandate and all these guys are is just potential collateral damage for bad press.
Which maybe some people in the UN want, but seems counterintuitive to the spirit of the organization. Unless Ireland or someone is looking to declare war on Israel and needs a reason.
