    I don’t know who ever believed it would be non-profit or “open”.

    I remember first hearing of them and checking out the website, they offered nothing just some vague promises.

    That’s not how you start promoting non profit work, first you do something useful and recognizable and then you push the media. What they did looked like search for funding.
