      My childhood cat went missing one day, years ago, of course. After several weeks, we gave up looking and just hope she would come back. The police came to our door one day and said they had found our cat (she was tagged, tattoo’d and had a collar). She was cut in half. There were more in the general area. They never found the person responsible.

      Sadly these people are probably going to get a slap on the wrist.

      Crimes against animals rarely have serious punishments in Canada, and usually end up with suspended sentences and a ‘restriction’ to owning animals.

      I’m hoping I’m wrong with this time.

      My blood is boiling over . Who the fuck does this . Also I already know we are going to be soft on them , which makes my blood boil even more . Animal abusers are one of the lowest forms of life

      I implore anyone upset at the animal abuse to consider how selective the empathy is towards suffering for only certain species. The industrial animal agriculture we have in this country and in our neighbor’s to the south can be absolute torture to sentient creatures. 

      If you feel revulsion at hurting creatures who can feel, try channeling it into experimenting with a few plant based recipes that could be good for body and heart!
