Gee you think these corporations seemingly dead set on taking as much money as possible from their customers would be concerned about other people wanting to steal as much money as possible from their customers

I’m sure Ticketmaster will find a way to charge consumers for their info being hacked, with service charges added,of course.

  4. Last class action against Ticketmaster I got a bunch of ticket vouchers. Only good for concerts that I had no interest seeing.

Aren’t they being investigated as a monopoly? Pretty pretty pretty convenient

    > The lawsuit faults Ticketmaster for failing to protect the personal information of up to 560 million users.

What possible reason does Ticketmaster have to do so?

I’ve had to reset my TM account password 3 times in the past week because it keeps getting locked by too many attempted logins (not by me). Called them and they basically said there’s nothing they can do and just blamed the data breach.

Ahh yes this classic song and dance. Sounds like someone’s about to pay a “massive” fine 🤣

  9. To mitigate losses, we will add a $3 per ticket CyberSecurity Fee, to offset any future payouts for class action lawsuits regarding our failure to protect private information.

  10. There’s going to be an HBO docu series on this company in about 5-7 years.

  11. It’ll be a few million dollars followed by business as usual on the following day.

  12. Ticketmaster / livenation AND ITS AFFILIATES were responsible for the sharing of personally identifiable information. Their legal claim will rely on terms of service agreements and ironclad indemnification that the LN/TM have for themselves.

Folks think artists have a choice when it comes to feeding this horrific monopoly. The answer really lies in the venues which are entirely tired in to the TM/LN ticketing and venue map. A Michigan venue dared sell tickets to a concert on their own, only to find that TM/LN intentionally boycotted and didn’t allow any touring artists to use their venue for a good 3 years, leading to it being sold under distressed conditions.

What a piece of shit company. Fortunately, their in house and outside counsel are a bunch of morons, pissed off DOJ over stupid deadline games, and now can suck it.
