Ya, I don’t trust that $375 “internal number” for the break even. It sounds more like they shuffled some costs around to different boxes so they could say it’s only the second biggest money loser instead of the first.

It’s crazy to me that this is the movie they decided to make after watching the Penguin TV show which is so good. I loved the first Joker and I have zero interest in this.

The first one was an average film carried by an excellent lead performance. This one is just a disaster.

Im like the right demo for this (gay DC fan who loves lady gaga) and this is how i learned that the movie has been out.

Minus a trailer months ago this was not advertised to me at all

They screened and hid Batgirl while they let this one out in the open. Chuckles in rich.

I have never not seen a comic book movie with my son, it’s what we do, see every single one. I will NOT see this movie. You guys fucked up huge.

This movie could of been so so so much better, i don’t know who Phillips wrote this movie for

Weird, just like civil war, we are all tired of the craziness that society currently has to offer. Why would we want a jacked up dose of it while we’re trying to have fun?

Maybe Todd Phillips shouldn’t make movies anymore. He seems to have made this one as a middle finger to the people who liked the first one, and refused to communicate with DC while making a high-visibility sequel about arguably their most well-known villain. Dude sounds like a prick

Everyone put aside $50 now for the criterion release in 2044 feat an essay by a critic who panned it in 2024.
