  1. NGL, it should be required to show Canadian ID and keep the foodbank for Canadian Citizens only. Turn everyone else back.

Foodbank is designed to help Canadian Citizens with food insecurity. Food banks should have higher guard rails to use then voting in Canadian elections.

  2. yeah wow, it’s almost like getting rid of international students doesn’t actually help with the wealth inequality that is a huge part of the cause of the housing crisis

  3. The corporate world has achieved it’s goal: a pool of cheap and desperate labour. Huzzah…

/s (just on the “huzzah” bit)

So much demand that the government should start a food bank funding program.

My SIL told me yesterday that she goes early to superstore to get the marked down meat.

Her and her husband live in a million dollar house, have a cabin at the lake, two BMW’s and 2 Harley’s.

Hmm, so the government says they are doing better than ever in their fight against poverty.

Food banks say they are seeing record demand.

Two options: Either somebody is full of shit OR somebody is scamming the system. But in either case there is some funny business going on.

Inflation caused labor shortages, which is now gone with higher rates.  It was stupid to fill them with labor because it was temporary, and was malicious by the economists in charge who knew that it was temporary.

And people have less ability to donate, and are more suspicious of to whom their donations are going

Don’t panic, citizens, Doug Ford is aware of the rising cost of living and taking steps to help everyone who matters…

    >Ontario Premier [Doug Ford](https://globalnews.ca/tag/doug-ford/) said the province’s “tough” [cost of living](https://globalnews.ca/tag/cost-of-living/) is one of the reasons why his government recently handed promotions to three Progressive Conservative MPPs, topping up their salaries by more than $16,000 a year.

    >The promotions, the premier suggested, are to make up for the “unfair” base salary of $116,000 a year, which was first frozen in 2007 and has been kept in place by successive premiers, including Ford.

If you look at a map of food bank across Canada that are having the highest amount of increase you will notice that they are close to colleges and universities that have a high amount of international students.

This is only the beginning. Mass starvation coming as Canadas economy grinds to a halt. Carbon taxes and mass wage suppressing immigration only benefits to oligarchs.

The rest of us will be joining the tent cities freezing over the winter.

    Trudeau has won my vote.

    Sunny ways.

Lets see the average income is about $60,000 and the average one bedroom apartment is $2,000. $60,000/12 =$5000 gross / 3 = 1666.67 should be what you should spend on rent. So the average wage isn’t enough let alone min-wage. Hmmmm wonder why food banks are being used so much

  13. Is this what Trudeau means whe repeats “I’m busy working for the middle class, and those trying to to reach it!”?

Food banks? That’s what he’s been busy with for 9 years?

I worked at one for a special event sponsored by our company.

Never again and regret even having ever donated a can of soup.
