  1. Just when I thought Americans were dumb…

Canadians come along and say hold my beer

Is so many people daily I talk to that are pro trump.

But it drives me crazy when I ask them simple questions and it turns out they just repeat propaganda like puppets.

    It’s embarrassing as a Canadian.

I’m not saying everything he has on his platform is garbage, but I am saying that he is a vile despicable lying human and to even consider a candidate like that to lead your country is a stain on the American population.

Why? Who I their right mind would support a convicted felon rapist pal of Epstein who has bankrupted almost every business he has ever owned?

Boomers literally sit in front of 24/7 american entertainment news from sun up to sun down, have too poor media literacy to understand bias, and on top of that have been tempered by other things like social media now too and seem to think americas problems are our own.

Boomers who consider Trump good leadership straight up can’t distinguish shit with reason anymore and so so as a point of conservative identity

Same thing happening through all the right wing disinformation shit across social media like TikTok also targeting young people now, too.

I work with Covid denying convoy supporting Trump fans. It’s just 1 huge Venn circle. Disinformation knows no borders.

I truly believe that this is due to Canadians not having access to our own news on social media like Instagram. I can’t look at reels from ctv news but I can get American conspiracy and news content on my feed 24/7.

  7. I can understand how people can lean conservative, I don’t understand how anyone could support this idiotic con-man.

    Why is this surprising?

We had convoyers who I don’t think knew they were living in Canada, demanding their 1A rights when no one was trying to get rid of Manitoba

We had convoyers who seized a border crossing because they thought Chinese troops were going to invade Alberta from Montana

  9. Something I’ll never understand is how people can ignore all the patently stupid, utterly moronic, nonsensical things Trump says and does and then go “Yup, that’s my guy”. Like you have to completely suspend all reality. Just wash it all away. Ahhhh.

I guess I understand old white people falling for his schtick. You definitely lose brain function as you get older. But the young, middle aged people. Why? How can you be like in your forties and not be able to see the obvious bullshit being flung your way? They don’t even try to be truthful anymore. It’s just obvious nonsense and people are like “Yep those are facts bro!”. Weird AF.

  10. Most rich people eventually support fascism if it means protection of their capital.

Rurals are just ignorant because their lack of connectivity to the outside world.

  11. Not surprised, I have absolutely nothing in common with some of my fellow Canadians these days.

Yes, because right wing assholes have been carrying water for this fat fuck for years

And the strong majority of them are in the garbage bin called Alberta, who’re led by Rhonda Santis.

Far right misinformation has found fertile ground here and conservatives are eating it up as disgusting as it is.

  15. They don’t even know what his policies will be. He is a protectionist, his trade policy alone will have a negative impact on Canada. And from all the trump supporters I know, that alone will affect them.

It worries that this is how dictators gain power. Get everyone fired up that we need a revolution. Promise that he is that revolution and then end up doing terrible things in the name of revolution. They keep telling us how we need a revolution but do we? Things are far from perfect but let’s not try to kill a fly with a sledgehammer.

My guess that correlates with the increased popularity of the PP Cons in Canada. Seems common sense is getting less and less common.

  17. AdvertisingStatus344 on

Yeah, because Canadians haven’t yet suffered from ultra Conservative policy yet. Just wait.

How could anybody in their right mind think this buffoon would be good for President, unbelievable!🤔

Another indicator that western democracies are sun-downing.

I feel experiencing the pandemic has caused everyone to go a little more crazy. So I’m not too shocked by this.

Regardless, I think a Trump presidency will be horrid for Canada-US relations.

  22. The US has joined the ranks of countries like North Korea with their blind, cult like worship of leaders who have a messiah complex, are evil, criminal, or downright unfit to govern. It’s like a 70’s movie about a dystopian future with a fascist government controlled by religious fanatics but it’s happening in real life.

  23. Even when I was a CPC supporter I NEVER liked Trump. I’d vote Trudeau in again instead of vote Trump.
