Australischer Verbraucherpreisindex nach Kategorie – in den letzten drei Jahrzehnten [OC]

Tools used: Seaborn and Matplotlib libraries in Python

Caveats:

– The data has financial services as a category excluded, since the data was not as complete.

– In Australia, CPI for Housing is calculated only with new builds and possibly rents. I don’t believe Australia does the same thing as the US where they use rents as a proxy for owner’s housing costs.

– Series were already indexed to 100, however it was in the middle of the series, so I had to adjust.

– Data from the ABS 6401.0 Consumer Price series on their website
