Dude running out of the doorway is lucky he didn’t take one to the head.
Russian was closer than he looked. Action cameras are wide angle, and make everything look further away.

There is a lot more crossing through each other’s field of fire then I would be comfortable with.

At what point he thought he would survive by running away trough the only corridor of the building? If you’re allone against a whole ememy team it would be the best to simply surrender.. But he probably thought the Ukrainians do the same to him as the Russian soldiers to some of the Ukrainian POWs..

Once I saw a discussion between ukranians and russians down a hall in the Battle of Severodonetsk. They were trying to make the other to surrender but nobody did

Ukrainain asks (in Ukrainian language): “Guys, [are you] ours?”
Russian: “Huh?..”
U: “Ours?”
The Ukrainian asks in Ukrainian, so the Russian knew they are Ukrainians, he was not confused.

I was gasping for air hoping for no friendly fire. Dude that crossed in front of his bud is lucky he wasn’t shooting at that moment.

Translation nuance: The Ukrainian hero was speaking in Ukrainian and used the word “hlopets” which means boy. It’s a unique Ukrainian word that virtually all Russians know because it was is use in Russia as well but meaning “dude.”
So the Russian knew pretty much right away he fucked up.
