They really want to make this about the carbon tax and not that housing and rents and groceries are at completely absurd price levels.

The reality is – it is all of it. You could trash the tax tomorrow and people will still be pissed. It’s very much an everything problem.

The fact that the cabinet ministers aren’t listening to the overwhelming majority of Canadians, should tell you all you need to know about their priorities.

Hmm, I don’t know that there’s a realistic chance of turning it around with a media strategy, but there *absolutely* no chance with the PM digging into a bunker mentality.

The appearance on Colbert was good, long form friendly podcast interviews are a good thing. The last time JT had good polling he was doing daily COVID briefings that turned into hour long daily press conferences.

Whatever other failings Trudeau has, he is an excellent campaigner and communicator. So why isn’t he taking every opportunity to get in front of a camera, especially anything away from Parliament Hill?
