      The blood spatter is going the wrong way for him to have been shot. The bullet supposedly came at him while he was facing the shooter, that would have the blood going the other way and it would be smeared all over his head when the secret service took him down.

      I can’t say with any certainty of it was staged or not. I can say as a former Navy corpsman experienced with such things that it’s preposterous that a “grazing wound” on the ear would only result in a little bleeding. The outer ear is largely composed of soft tissue over cartilaginous material. The energy of a .223 round on the soft tissue would have expanded through the cartilage of his outer ear causing even more damage and be quite painful. The last thing a person would do is have the presence of mind to fist pump and yell to his adoring fans.
