      I have recently been told by a multigenerational guesthouse owner in the Gaeltacht that upwards of 75% or more of the Irish-Americans he’s met over the years are pro Trump/Tory/right-wing.

      So this doesn’t shock me as much as it might a week ago.

      I hate it if they support Trump, and I especially hate it if they don’t.

      If you’re gonna hang a painting of someone you don’t like, why let it dominate the room? Looks like it’s even half blocking light switches.

      And if you’re gonna hang a painting of someone you do like, why choose such an ugly image?

      What a genuinely stupid thing to do to yourself – subconsciously, every time they see that picture they get tense and a bit angry.

      An interest in politics doesn’t make your life happier. Best case scenario, you get your way 50% of the time; the rest of the time you’re railing against strangers.
