Cool but how do they define its borders? What borders do they recognize?
Yes, my country recognizes Palestine.
1 day it will happen
The borders should be solved with a boxing match between the heads of state refereed by a Buddhist monk
Interesting that the UK dont recognize them….
what happened in 1988 to sway the opinion of so many countries?
It should be mentioned that not officially recognizing doesn’t means ignoring or denying, its not a binary state, for example some of these red countries should have representation offices in Palestine
How can a country vote at the UN for the creation of a State and then go on not recognizing its existence?

My country recognises both Israel and Palestine.
The unnecessary amount of repetitive “NO”s despite the legend, the replacement of borders with weird flag circles which force the year number out of place and the colors overall make my brain hurt.
Not to mention the mirrored Palestine flag in the title…
I suppose that if you’re recognized as a country, like Iraq, and you attack an adjacent country, like Kuwait, that would be called a war when Kuwait strikes back with allies, bombs Iraq, then invades Iraq. No one calls it a ‘genocide.’
Why is “no” in Red?
grabbing some popcorn for the comment section
Hungary doesn’t recognise it.
How can the ex soviet republics differ in opinion?
Did the latvian SSR have it’s own diplomacy or did they remove recognition
So is that green dot in the big red Italy the Vatican City?
Congratulations to Israel for swinging so many votes in 2024.
It’s interesting how recognition can vary so much from country to country
Rare Eastern Europe W.
# recognize the State of what?
Western Europe/the US: “We support a two-state solution with Israel and *that other State there*”
How did Russia, Ukraine and Belarus recognize Palestine before independence from the Soviet Union?
The guideline on how to make propaganda out of a map 🙂
This is weird, how all ex Soviet republics green and Moldova somehow red? Did they just change their mind?
I was here
Funny fact: Almost every country that tecognizes Palestine, does not recognize Kosovo (and vice-versa). I have no idea why.
How can you recognize something, that does not exist? All of the functions of the state – border, army, taxes, social services, and many more are non existant. They had chances to establish state but refused it all the times with the sole goal of Israel destruction
Even Vatican recognises it wow
Im Irish. 2024. It is absolutely shameful, especially when we have always supported the Palistinian cause as a people.
Based Vatican!
whatever , one day you all belong to Belgium
I’m pretty sure mine does, they organize marches in support from time to time. Can’t say how many people actually care tough
88′ ? Which year, 8803? In the future, or BC? Are you sure you don’t actually mean ’88? Same goes for 92′
Oh wow, I didn’t know Great Britain didn’t recognize Palestine. This whole time I thought GB was part of the reason Palestine exists. I need to read more history.
P.S. This is an annoying map to look at. It’s more like r/MapBonerKiller
One of the few times I’m proud to be half Russian.
Glad they labeled the colors in the legend.
Wasn’t Palestine already a state some time ago? I mean, I know people whose grandparents have legit birth certificates from the state of Palestine. Or is there Palestine 2.0 that needs to be recognized now?
I imagine some of these might change depending on the government in power (left vs right).
Damn, Georgia and Azerbaijan have been recognizing Palestine for almost 2000 years!
