  1. I’m fortunate there will be no return to office for me. There’s no office to return to lol. My office is either at home or in my company car, depending on the day and my tasks

  5. A company that never invested heavy in real estate does not see the need to bring people to a building. The entire concept of flipping remote work around is based on real estate justification and power over your employee. I may not like them as a company nor the product, however they are right on this subject.

  7. I really don’t get why any large business would want their employees to return. Like seriously, it’s so much cheaper to have your employees work from home.

    Looks like Spotify’s playlist for success is on shuffle and they hit play on “Work From Anywhere”! They’re living that “Can’t Stop the Feeling” life while others are stuck on “The Office” reruns. Maybe they’ll drop a “Now That’s What I Call Remote Work” album next!

    I have absolutely no idea what employees at Spotify are doing besides negotiating with artists,sales type stuff. The product is built and hasn’t changed in years

  13. I think it’s funny that the standard that has existed literally forever is now considered “companies treating adults like children”.

    It’s awesome companies are changing and adopting work from anywhere.

    I’m also tired of seeing everyone whine that they have to return to the office, which is what they signed up for when they applied for the job. Those are the real children. Want change? Apply to companies like Spotify

    If only they would stop fucking with the algorithms of how radios are made on their platform, always suggesting the same songs. Good for them for treating their workers like humans. But now let’s work on making the service more user friendly for listening to music. I used Spotify to discover music and now it’s a nonstop loop of twelve songs in every playlist it creates “just for me”

    I’m just ranting at work into the Reddit void. Sorry folks.

  16. The best jobs I had, and currently have are ones where I work alone. So I’m guessing people are more productive when there’s no social aspect to work, so no work place drama. I run out of stuff to do when I work so end up just sitting around on my phone killing time until clock out time, since being a janitor if I clock when work is done I didn’t do it right. My boss checks my work too, says my places are the cleanest and get the most praise when he calls the place for a review.

    If they don’t perform, whether they work from home or not, fire them and bring it someone better. I dont understand the return to the office mandate obsession from CEOs.
