      For context, this guy doesn’t have custody of his children due to a history of violence. Three years ago, while he had visitation, he took his three kids on a bush walk and hasn’t returned.

      He and the kids are alive, and from all accounts are getting a lot of support of the local small town community. So much so that even an $80k reward wasn’t enough for any of them to turning them in.

      As romantic as this might sound, the truth is he has kidnapped these kids. They are growing up living in the bush without medical care, formal education, other children etc. And the kids mother hasn’t seen nor heard from her children in three years, despite having full legal custody.

      *Edit: for people questioning why the police/army/state can’t just find him – over the past3 years they have been spotted across an area of around 4000km^2 (1500mi^2). Most of which is dense forest/bush over rough terrain. The area is also filled with unexplored caves etc. For context, this is an area the size of Long Island in America. Or 4x the size of Hong Kong.

      This guy again. I’m a NZr and I was involved in the search & rescue for him & the kids. He’s so far down a Rabbit hole of conspiracies, he’s not the good guy. The way he first disappeared left people to believe he may be lost or they had a tragic accident. When he reappeared he told everyone to go fuck themselves & that’s when the Police got shitty. If he just said he’s off into the bush for a while, none of this would’ve happened. BTW he’s teaching his kids how to steal & burgle for supplies. The locals think it’s all overkill and he’s not harming anyone. Don’t glorify him.
