I wonder if it’s tough for drone operators to see everyone’s terrified faces, or if it just feels like a video game…

I find some of those drone footage highly problematic – Article 41 (2) „Safeguard of an enemy hors de combat“ of the Geneva convention clearly states that:
A person who is….’ hors de combat ‘ shall not be made the object of attack.

2. A person is ‘ hors de combat ‘ if:

(a) he is in the power of an adverse Party;

(b) he clearly expresses an intention to surrender; or

(c) he has been rendered unconscious or is otherwise incapacitated by wounds or sickness, and therefore is incapable of defending himself;

And a lot of footage on here goes against that.

I know I’m an idiot for thinking that trying to talk to these drones might save me, but I wouldn’t die without lack of trying.
