      I can’t see a diehard MAGA driving to a theater, spending $15 on a ticket, watching this movie, then changing his mind.  The rest of us already know Trump is an asshole and a damaged fuck up.  The only thing I can see tipping any balances is if some really powerful and damning scene from the movie goes viral which somehow dampens MAGA enthusiasm and MAGA turnout.

      We need a new term, “October drumbeat of surprises”: the Bob Woodward book about seven phone calls with Putin, the former CIA Director calling Trump Putin’s mole in the White House, Jack Smith spreading more factual evidence about jan6 before the public, a movie Detailing, the dysfunctional roots and Monsters of trump’s life… Cumulatively, these won’t dissuade cult Trump voters but could peel away a few uncertain ones here and there.

      I’ll be honest. I really want to see this, but there’s no way in hell I’m gonna see it in a theater. Seems like a prime target for these MAGA nut jobs. I hope it’s coming to streaming.

      How widely is it being released? Would be great to get it on streaming before the election but that is probably asking too much.

      It’s not slander if it’s true. And all the controversial scenes were based off court records, witness testimony, and other well documented events. Trump knows the media and knows that almost every American will have a more negative view of him should they see the movie.

      I can’t imagine who this is for. His supporters definitely won’t go to anything critical of their god and I’d rather get several root canals than spend any of my free time consuming MORE trump than I’m already force fed through the news. If you’re planning on seeing this, why? Not trying to be confrontational, trying to understand.

      Saw it last night. Pretty entertaining overall. Sebastian Stan nailed the role as Trump, as did Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn. I was surprised how nostalgic it made me for the days when he was just a sleazy tabloid celebrity and not a threat to world stability. Some very explicit scenes, so be prepared for that. Highly recommended.

      I don’t know why his campaign is worried.

      His supporters or undecided voters (a myth to be sure) are not going to watch it.

      And if everything else he hasn’t done is driving mew voters to vote against him, this movie probably isn’t going to do it either.

      Honestly, the most likely outcome is that this will increase enthusiasm in both bases.

      Anti-trumpers will see it as more fuel and MAGA will see it as more attacks on him they have to defend him from.
