Absolutely nothing Trump does is beneficial to anyone other than himself.

  2. It’s coming. Believe me. As soon as the audit is over and Mexico’s wall check clears. Two weeks tops.

    >Donald Trump casts himself as a protector of workers and jobs, but a USA TODAY NETWORK investigation found hundreds of people – carpenters, dishwashers, painters, even his own lawyers – who say he didn’t pay them for their work.

    >Trump’s companies have also been cited for 24 violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act since 2005 for failing to pay overtime or minimum wage, according to U.S. Department of Labor data.

At this point, any town or city that is willingly providing accommodations to this grifter deserves to get screwed by his deadbeat ass.

  4. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/cities-seek-750k-unpaid-bills-trump-campaign-events-rcna174757) reduced by 89%. (I’m a bot)

    > Erie, whose bills were previously reported by the Erie Times-News, isn't the only city that has hosted Trump rallies and not been paid by the campaign.

    > Including Erie, four cities and a county confirmed to NBC News that they're still waiting for the Trump campaign to pay bills often associated with reimbursements for the costs of local law enforcement and other first responder personnel.

    > The unpaid bills go back even further for Spokane, Washington, which wants the Trump campaign to pay for costs incurred in a May 2016 visit, before Trump officially became the Republican nominee for president.

He played a big part in destroying Atlantic City so this should come as no surprise. Refused to pay construction contractors and just said “sue me”.

much, much more that 750K LOL – – doesn’t he owe like 9,000,000.00 to Washington DC alone?

  7. Vegetable-Source6556 on

What does he pay for? Music licenses, nope…stripper lawsuits, maybe!

  8. TopTransportation695 on

Anyone who deals with this guy and doesn’t get the cash upfront deserves what they get.

  9. It’s pretty outrageous that cities are left holding the bag for Trump’s rallies, racking up over $750K in unpaid bills since 2016. Local governments shouldn’t have to cover costs for events that benefit a political campaign, especially when those costs can be significant.

  10. SuperstitiousPigeon5 on

Anyone not collecting a large deposit up front and allowing him in deserves what they get.

If a dem had this kind of outstanding bills the media would treat it like the biggest deal on the planet and it would be on the front page and asked about *endlessly*. Dem voters would bail on their candidate because they have standards.

    But here we are.

Red cities are happy to force their citizens to pay the bill.

Blue cities should make him pay up front.

  13. He’s supposed to be a billionaire and yet he doesn’t pay his bills.

He’s been given too much leeway for far too long. The time has now come to lock him up. Justice needs to prevail.

  14. I don’t understand why this isn’t a campaign commercial yet. It’s an easy one to put together.

I don’t understand why his surrogates aren’t asked about this when they appear on the air.

  15. Appropriate-City3389 on

Former president deadbeat does not discriminate on who he screws over financially.

  16. He had/has a history of not paying….. who was the brains, behind accepting a known request from a known grifter….were you thinking, “it won’t happen to us”…well, he dined and dashed

  17. Apprehensive-Pin518 on

because all of the campaigns finances are focused on paying his legal fees.

It baffles me that any cities allow him to run a campaign event without payment first. They have to know he isn’t going to pay once he’s done his event and got what he wants.
