I like SpaceX and literally work with SpaceX, but this shit right here is why I hate the Musk cult, because they actually believe this BS. I really wish they would stop treating Musk’s fever dream of going to Mars as if he’s doing it to genuinely save anything on Earth. He isn’t. He’s just playing out his childhood scifi fantasies and treating the world as his playroom and everyone else as his LEGO minifigs because that’s how much money he has.
No one, least of all Musk, is actually thinking about what it would take to actually terraform Mars. If he really cared about saving anyone, he’d use his money to influence his Republican cronies to act on climate change. But he doesn’t, because he isn’t planning for anything past his own nose.
