I know there are factors at play like things being reported on more and hot topics. But can anyone explain to me why there seems to be an increasing number of people turning on people due to X Y Z that has zero impact on the others life?
I know it has been going on as long as time but I’m starting to notice people being more opinionated on other people’s lives than before.
I can’t tell if I’m just falling for the over reporting (or correctly reported) or if people are just becoming more self important and taking a my way or the high way approach
> But over the year ending March 2024 there were 3,282 religious hate crimes targeting Jews
This equates to roughly one hate crime per every 90 Jews. Mental.

>Danielle St James, chief executive of trans charity Not A Phase, told the BBC that trans people are often reluctant to report hate crimes.
>She said: “After many years in which hate crimes against trans people have soared, the news that these are down by 2% is certainly welcome. That being said, we know all too well that there is a reluctance to report these crimes on the part of the community, so it’s always worth taking stats such as these with a pinch of salt.”
Headline aside, am I the only one surprised by the BBC reaching out to an actual trans charity and ask about hate crime against trans people? In recent years they have been platforming TERFS so much that I thought it’s never possible again.

Ignoring that islamiphoboa is now more common than anti semitism, this increase of anti semitism [not pro Palestine supporters] is directly thanks to the actions of Israel, who equate themselves as ‘acting in the interest and with the support of the global Jewish people. ‘ which nazis will look at and say ‘look told ya so’

I love this, once again redditors will bend over backwards to show how tolerant and progressive that are against da evwil fwar wight, and let muslims absolutely ramp up crime stats
As I said the other day if you need to believe in someone, go Agnostic, stuffs so much simpler.
Thankfully this sub isn’t contributing to that at all.
I wonder what the jewish state could be doing to cause this unrest?
I’m just a bald guy with a massive beard.
This summer a few women were walking on the other side of the road to me and they shouted “‘Ere mate are you a fuckin’ JEW?!”
so I responded “No… why would you think that?”
“Well you’ve got that fuckin beard havent yer!?”
and I said “Wouldn’t I be wearing that little cap, the kippah, if I were a jew?”
To which they responded “I DUNNO IM NOT A FUCKIN JEW AM I, YOU A FUCKING JEW?!”
They didn’t seem too pleased by the idea that I may have been a Jew.
By “religious hatred” its mainly Muslims and neo-Nazi wannabes attacking Jews with the excuse “B-But Israel”. Pathetic.
