Has she ever called Hamas or Hezbollah an “enemy of peace” or does she only use that term for western democracies?

I wish they’d stop arguing about something we have 0 effect on.

We have major issues here. A housing crisis, homeless encampments everywhere which are only growing and they want to spend all day talking about a conflict on the other side of the world.

I support Israel, but May is right — Netanyahu is an enemy of peace. So are Hamas and Hezbollah. There won’t be peace until all those parties are out of power.

boo her all day but May is right.

Netanyahu is an enemy of peace and he’s doing what’s right for Netanyahu, not Israeli people.

  5. interesting. this shit is what blew up the greens before and i’m glad their position has been sorted out. it was extremely disappointing to see a zionist run that party into the ground.

Love Elizabeth May’s passion here as always. She has always been the conscience of parliament. Great the hear the NDP applauding as well. I’m glad we actually have some progressive voices in Canada on this issue.

History will not be kind to the politicians who are currently cheering on Israel’s occupation, colonialism, and apartheid. They will be looked upon with the same disdain we look at those who supported South Africa’s apartheid system.

She’s right, it’s odd she’d be booed when even the biggest Israel defenders I know will throw Netanyahu under the bus, but I’ve noticed a weird tick where pro-Israel media outside of the country are less critical of it than even Israeli media itself is.

You ain’t a green leader in Canada if you don’t let Israel and the Middle East distract from actual Green issues.

Whether right or wrong on the issue, when you’ve got so few seats that you’re not an Official Party, stick to your issues or you end up a joke.

I know that Canada and Israel are allies, but it feels like in the last year, the CPC is doing Republican-level pandering, almost in a desperate attempt to be the next country to be a vassal state for them.

    Very disappointing.

Wow.. just wow.. this parliament has been nothing but a source of shame for the past 3 years. Libs , cans, npd.. all of them played their fair share.
