I think it would be a cooler map if there were more categories lower than 10%.

Top 5 countries with Muslim population:
Indonesia: 242,700,000
Pakistan: 233,000,000
India: 200,000,000
Bangladesh: 150,800,000
Nigeria: 95,000,000 – 97,000,000
So while people tend to associate the Middle East/Arab states with Muslims, none of the Top 5 countries with the largest Muslim populations are in the Middle East.

There is no exactitude about France. Depending on the sources it goes from 6% to 10 % but never over

Is there really 10% of muslims in Suriname? Or did you mean to color French Guiana instead ?
For many countries, this is just the people with “muslim backgrounds”
in france 14% of the population has muslim backgrounds, but the number of irreligious people with muslim background is also very high, only about 7% of the french population is muslim and 34% christian
it would not be fair to say france is 85% christian, neither would it be fair to say it is 14% muslim

By 2050 you will add Sweden, Canada, Germany and UK.

These maps aren’t accurate. Some of the countries shown in dark green actually shouldn’t be. The percentages also don’t account for the ex-Muslims or questioning population, since most people don’t openly identify as irreligious.
However, according to some rare polls, the percentage of people who identify as confident Muslim in these countries (with the year of the poll) is: 40% in Iran (2020), and 67% in Iraq (2011). I don’t have reliable information about other countries but I’m pretty sure there are a lot of ex-Muslims.
Germany is only not green because they would have to pay a tax if you say that you are religious

Putting France in the >10% category is a bit disingenuous. France doesn’t record ethnic and religious data, so there is a pretty large variability in estimations by different sources. Different sources tend to put their estimation between 6% of the population at the lowest and 10% at the highest. Truth is likely somewhere in-between rather than at the top end of estimations. This map essentially says that France’s muslim population can be between 10%<x<20% rather than 6%≤x≤10%.
