      ~~~~>WARNING<~~~~
      [ DO NOT DRINK TRUMP-AID! ]
      Whatever is in it makes people dumber than seven sumbitch’s!
    2. Ask MAGA how they define ‘democracy’…
      I think you’ll be surprised.
    3. CarlSpencer on
      Does she know that MAGA is complaining about her skin color?
      Or do they count her (temporarily) as “one of the good ones”?
    4. Hey Lynne… perhaps we can go back counting you as 3/5 of a person. Holding onto a system that doesn’t represent what people are voting for is insane.
    5. Tim Walz stated he wants to initiate a legislative process to make rule changes to how we count our votes and elect our leaders. He wants to make changes to the changes that brought us the Electoral College in the first place.
      I will take that over the guy who storms the capitol any day.
      It is long past due to stop giving our dumbest, poorest states unequal representation and give them proportional representation based on their limited population.
      Wyoming no longer needs 36x the proportionate power California has.
      weird trump aide: tim walz no deserve coogie beguz he a doo doo
    8. People who can’t win without the electoral college will such things
    9. MagazineNo2198 on
      Republicans KNOW that they are in the minority…if we ditch the Electoral College, they will never win another Presidential race EVER. FACTS.
    10. GOP is just always at war with anything popular. I wonder if they felt confident in the popular vote how fast they’d want to ditch EC.
    11. RDDT_to_ZERO_ETF on
      The current process is stupid. everyones vote should count all the same whether you are in a blue state or red state. a lot of people’s votes seem “wasted” in solidly blue or red states. Every election we are talking about the same 7 states like the other 43 states dont matter at all.
    12. Hippie_Heart on
      5-7 states decide every election – the electoral college has to be eliminated. At the time it was created, it worked as designed. We live in a very different world today. 45 states votes don’t count, and it needs to change.
    13. The GOP has lost the popular vote in all but one of the last 8 presidential elections. Likely they will lose this one as well (popular vote). So 1/9.
      They won 3 elections out of the 8 and could win this one while still losing the popular vote.
      I’d love to see that the candidate has to win both to be elected. But what to do in the case of a split? Maybe both have to govern together?
      Trump and anyone working with his campaign are all liars running a campaign of nothing but purely fabricated bullshit and they’re counting on the people voting for them being too undereducated and/or brainwashed to know Trump and his team are constantly lying to everyone about anything they can think of. These two refuse to do public appearances that will be fact checked because they have nothing but lies to tell people. Trumpers need an old man who shits himself all day and wants to fuck his own daughter to blatantly lie to them everyday and tell them what’s “real” and what’s not. These people called themselves “lone wolves” and “free thinkers” for years. Trumpers are fucking idiots and need to snap out of it
    15. PassengerNo1233 on
      You mean “we know we’d lose the popular vote, and who really cares what the people want, anyway? ‘Murica belongs to Republican PATRIOTS, not people with brains and internet access!”
    16. MtnDudeNrainbows on
      Any legit critique and claim we make against their SUPREME OVERLORD TRUMP is projected back. It’s literal insanity.
    17. vishy_swaz on
      These chucklefucks are only saying this kind of stuff about democracy to pretend like they care about it. They don’t give a fuck.
    18. BurpelsonAFB on
      This is the standard Trump propaganda tactic of “muddying the water”, so that when people legitimately call January 6th a “threat to democracy”, some dumb people will say, “well, I guess both sides are just as bad.”
    19. YardOptimal9329 on
      The U.S. is not a democracy. We need to stop saying we are so that we can change the rules so that we can become one.
    20. fauxregard on
      Tim Walz a threat to democracy for recommending we do literal democracy. More at 11.
    21. KlutzyPerception3045 on
      If trump won the popular vote but lost because of the electoral college it might make 2021 look like daycare. Their heads would explode.
    22. mrbigglessworth on
      I’m so tired of republicans trying to play opposite and blame democrats for actions republicans are committing
    23. Earthling1a on
      Republicans **HATE** America.
      Republicans want to **DESTROY** America.
      Vote blue, no matter who. Vote like your life depends on it.
      It very likely does.
    24. What of course they mean is – Tim Walz, and Democrats in general are a threat to Republicans as currently constituted having any say in government, because without the electoral college the GOP would either lose every presidential election or would have to modify their stances to get more votes.
      They frame it as “we arent a democracy, we are a Republic” which obviously misunderstands what both democracy and republic mean in that context, but what they really mean is – we are a minority and without the electoral college, gerrymandering, the distorting nature of the Senate, we would never win.
    25. The aide is dope and Walz is right, use the popular vote, which both parties have won many times so they can again.
    26. Let’s keep it simple and honest: one person, one vote. Count the votes and declare the winner. No electoral college shenanigans at all.
    27. Individual_Park9168 on
      Oh my god!!! Is he advocating for DEMOCRACY?!? that’s terrible!!
    28. While I don’t think “counting the popular vote” is the best option (though I’m no expert), at least he has an idea and it’s a valid debatable policy, not a tyrant.
