Bacteriophages are certainly one solution to antibiotic resistance, however there are issues with them: one they are hard to control, in the sense that you can’t really make alot of the same exact baceriophages, since they mutate so often. Next and most importantly bacteriophages are viruses, and while they won’t make you sick, your body doesn’t know that and will actively fight the phages until you have an efficient and effective response to their presence.

I do think bacteriophages are going to be important in the fight against antibiotic resistant bacteria, however it might be less as a intravenous protocol and more of topical application or as a cleaner designed to target specific bacteria in the environment.

Imagine a hospital has an outbreak of some sort of mrsa and so they douse everything in a bacteriphage cocktail to get the mrsa to mutate to fight the bacteriophage more effectively, when a bacteria becomes more resistant to antibiotics they are often more vulnerable to bacteriophages and vice-versa, it could help to eliminate these bacteria from the environment and get them to take up less advantageous adaptations for resisting antibiotics.
